About this cartoon: The presidency of Donald Trump began swiftly with controversy, with his inner circle twisting fabrications of events into "alternative facts," the president purging federal agencies and clamping severe speech restrictions on employees, especially pertaining to science. Most alarming, Trump appointed his adviser Steve Bannon, an advocate of the alt-right and extreme nationalism, to the National Security Council while demoting top intelligence officials, letting an anti-immigrant, anti-gay, anti-liberal and pro-Putin voice lead the president and advocate for chaos in both domestic and foreign policy.
